Description

The Cape Sugarbird (Promerops cafer) is a distinctive fynbos species, easily recognised by its long tail and down-curved bill adapted for feeding on protea nectar and insects. As it moves between flowers, it acts as an important pollinator and is often seen in noisy, social groups within protea-rich habitats.
