Description
Ceropegias are among the most intriguing and alien-like plants, often residing in isolated microclimates. These plants are elusive, making them almost impossible to observe unless you’re a dedicated Ceropegia enthusiast. To find these hidden treasures, one must be willing to spend days on end, crawling through the most inhospitable terrain, often without success. This is the life of a true Ceropegia hunter.
These plants are highly sensitive to their environment, usually tucked away under other vegetation or nestled in rocky crevices. Most species of Ceropegia have vining or trailing stems, with leaves that can be simple, rudimentary, or absent. In some succulent species, the leaves are thick and fleshy, adding to their unique, otherworldly appearance.
The following three macro images represent Ceropegia species, which I imagined would make a great individual wall art or as a set.
