Description
Early morning landscape where birds transformed an ordinary Noordhoek beach landscape into something far more special and completed the story. Sea gulls, with their ubiquitous presence along coastlines and inland bodies of water, are among the most recognizable and adaptable birds. These versatile scavengers, characterized by their graceful flight and distinctive calls, exhibit a wide range of plumage patterns and sizes, from the petite Little gull to the imposing Great black-backed gull. Their sharp beaks and keen eyesight make them proficient foragers, capable of exploiting diverse food sources from fish to scraps.
Sea gulls are also known for their complex social structures and behaviours, including intricate courtship displays and cooperative nesting.
